Mining
1 km below the ground. This is how deep the boreholes in the Viscaria mine reach, and that is just the beginning – we do not yet know how far Viscaria's ore bodies extend. Our mining takes place both in open-pit mines and underground, and we strive to become one of the world's most sustainable copper producers. Does that sound exciting? We think so too! Contact us if you think you would fit the role of mining engineer or rock technician at Copperstone.
About Viscaria
Gruvaktiebolaget Viscaria was founded in 2006 under the name Avalon. In 2015, the company was restructured to become Copperstone Resources, and in May 2024, upon receiving our environmental permit ruling, we changed our name to Gruvaktiebolaget Viscaria.
Today, we are a company scaling up to become a modern and responsibly producing mining company through the reopening of the Viscaria mine in Kiruna. By using modern technology, Viscaria is well-positioned to deliver high-quality and responsibly produced copper – an important contribution to the transition to renewable energy sources.
